Chef John invites you to prepare together a recipe of pasta with microplants and flavoured oil.
The microplants in the recipe were grown in the Babylon Garden System from certified organic seeds.
Ingredients for 4 people:
400 g tagliatelle
200 g crushed nuts
1 tray of microplants Broccoli Raabs Sudoku or Broccoli Don Vito
1 Ishtar tray of lentil or radish microplants
1 Ishtar tray of Balboa pea microplants
For flavoured oil:
150 ml olive oil
8 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon salt
15 g green basil
100 g green parsley
Preparation:
To prepare the flavoured oil, chop the basil finely along with the green parsley and garlic. Then mix with 150 ml of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of salt.
Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the packet. Chop the microgreens not very finely. Mix the pasta together with the chopped microgreens and the chopped nuts in a bowl, add the flavoured oil, then season to taste.
This pea is slightly sweeter than its yellow counterpart and its colour will fade slightly as sprouting progresses.
